Original work from Melissa's 2023 collection, Out of The Dark. This body of work was created with the intention of honoring the ever-evolving relationship we have within us between our light & darkness. It’s a dance between our shadows & shine, but neither can exist without the other. It’s within our dark moments where our light is birthed. We can’t reach our highest essence without these deep moments of truth that lives within the dark. And because of this, I feel that the darkness deserves a moment to be honored, and thanked for its courage to show us what needs to shift.
